Popular young singer Ishmeet Singh who shot into fame by winning 'Star Voice of India' contest run by a private Television channel last year died in a swimming accident in Maldives on Tuesday July 29th, 2008... Reports our Special Correspondent, K.M. Ravindran. Official spokesman of Maldivian Government Mohamed Hussain Shareef told Doordashan that the mishap occurred at Dhonweli Beach in Maldives. Ishmeet who got into the swimming accident was rushed to a hospital in Maldives. However he died on the way, the spokesman said. The spokesman added that Ishmeet Singh was in Maldives as an adjudicator of a musical talent search programme scheduled for Wednesday and day after.
